Cycling Road is a captivating and exhilarating sport where athletes race over road courses on bicycles in the Road Race and Time Trial events, each showcasing leg strength, endurance and tactical acumen. The Road Race event is an intense test of endurance where athletes, all starting at the same time, race over the road on bikes, seeking to be the first to finish. The women's course covers 150km and men's covers 250km. Combining leg strength and dynamic pace changes, this event often comes down to a nail-biting sprint between competitors in the last few hundred meters. The Time Trial is an individual event known as the "race of truth". Riding aerodynamic bikes, athletes are timed over a challenging 35km course. With no assistance from teammates or other participants, the winner is the rider with the fastest time over the course.
